Acupuncture for Pain
Acupuncture and Acupressure can be used to relieve acute and chronic pain symptoms. Even the most constant and grating pains can be affected by good and safe acupuncture procedures.
Leg PainFor many years, I had bad back and leg pain. Aleve, Advil and Salonpas did not help. Nor did heating pads. After a few month of acupuncture treatment, my back and legs could move without pain. Acupuncture also made the occasional pain and numbness in my legs, toes, and fingertips disappear.
-Teresa B., Vienna I was suffering from leg pain (quadriceps) for 4 years as a result of my yoga exercise trauma. Treatments which were offered by a a physiotherapist, chiropractor, pain management specialist, massage therapists, another acupuncturist, Chinese cupping massage specialist, acupressure, laser and ultrasound treatment, myostimulation, prolactomy did not work. Acupuncturist Yao Hao was able to correctly diagnose the root of the problem as a neurological problem, resulting in muscle pain. This is a credit to his excellent training in China, his clinical experience and diagnostic gift of an excellent clinician. This diagnosis was later confirmed by a clinical professor of neurology and another physiotherapist. I combined acupuncture treatment by Yao Hao with physiotherapy, which resulted in much awaited pain relief. As my trauma was old, my treatment would take time and I still continue to attend Mr Hao's sessions of acupuncture. I would recommend Mr Hao to anyone with chronic pain, sport or dance trauma, many neurological problems, etc. And as everyone knows, acupuncture has no side effects, hence it is a very safe treatment, which was used for more than a thousand years". -Anna W., Arlington |

-Wendy O-K Intense lower back pain had me flat on my back incapable of movement. I felt relief after the first treatment. My condition steadily improved with follow-on sessions. I now move normally without pain. I also had chronic nasal congestion. With acupuncture treatments, I now can breathe freely most of the time without using nasal decongestants. -Jeff B., Vienna |
Migraines/Teeth PainI had bad migraines and tried many medications previously. After acupuncture treatment, my neck is not as tight and very few headaches. Now they are less painful and quality of life has returned. I feel more relaxed and energized after acupuncture. Needles do not hurt at all. Wish I had done this many years ago.
-Susan I I had a root canal done on my front tooth. After months of pain, the dentist redid it and made it worse. I could not eat or sleep and it hurt to talk or even lick my lip. Five specialists and two dentists later, no one could figure out why it hurt so much. After 6 sessions of acupuncture, the nerve damage is much less painful. I am no longer on pain medications and I can lick my lip again and sleep without the pain waking me up. It is so much more bearable and now can heal easier. -Kristin O., Vienna |
